Your Moodle week, done in one conversation.

Ask Claude to follow up on late work, build a quiz or return feedback, and Nitro does it in your Moodle course, sending nothing to students until you approve it.

Try it in three steps.

You get your own course on our trial Moodle, with 20 fictitious students, their submissions and late work. There is no real student data in it, so experiment freely.

  1. Register in the trial Moodle

    Create a trial account

Moodle emails you a confirmation link. Click it, and check your spam folder if the email does not arrive. After you log in, your course is ready within a minute.

The course material is in Hungarian. You can still talk to Claude in English.

  2. Connect it to Claude

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector. Name it Nitro and paste this address:

    https://moodle.goschool.ai/local/nitro/mcp.php

Claude opens a Moodle login. Sign in with your trial Moodle account, not your university one, and approve the connection.

Any Claude plan works; on Free you can add one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it first under Organization settings → Connectors, and then you click Connect.

  3. Ask like you would a colleague

    • Who hasn’t submitted the assignment yet? Write to each of them personally.
    • Make a short practice quiz from this week’s material.
    • Which on-time submissions are missing the repository link?

Before anything reaches a student, Nitro shows you the exact messages or grades, and sends them only after you say go.

What it does in a teaching week.

Each of these is one request in Claude. Nitro does the work in your course with Moodle’s own functions.

Follows up on late work

Who is behind on homework 2? Write to them.

It checks submissions and last logins, groups the students who are behind and drafts a personal message for each one.

Builds a quiz

Make a ten-question practice quiz from the recursion page.

It reads your course page, adds the questions to the question bank and creates the quiz hidden, so you can check it before students see it.

Returns feedback with approval

Go through the submissions and draft feedback against my criteria.

It reads each submission and drafts feedback and a grade per student. You see the whole list first, and nothing is saved until you approve.

You stay in control.

With your permissions
It can do exactly what you can do in Moodle, no more and no less.
Nothing goes out without your approval
Messages, announcements and grades are shown to you first. Moodle sends them only after you approve.
Disconnect any time
Your Moodle profile lists the connected AI tools. Revoking one cuts off its access at once.

Every Nitro action is recorded in Moodle’s own log. How the data travels, and what Anthropic sees of it, is on the page for admins.

On your own university’s Moodle?

Your Moodle admin installs the Nitro plugin. You then connect Claude to your real courses the same way as in the trial.
